Vintage dress from a garage sale / Shoes from Target
Vintage clutch from Beacon's Closet / Earrings from Etsy

We were in Western Pennsylvania last weekend for our friends' wedding, and got to visit Fallingwater while there! I've been wanting to see this Frank Lloyd Wright house ever since I studied it in my Modern Architecture class in college, so this was pretty exciting. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to take photos inside while you're on the tour, so all I have are these (pretty amazing) shots of the exterior. If you're ever in the Laurel Highlands area of PA, I highly suggest checking it out.

This outfit is what I wore to the wedding itself, after we returned from our Fallingwater tour. The dress actually has a really cool open back with criss-cross straps. I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of that! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to pair this crazy print dress with my rainbow striped wedges. At first I thought it might be a bit too much, with all the patterns and colors, but I think it actually worked out really well. What do you think?

Whatcha Wearing?
Vintage dress and shoes from St Vincent de Paul
Vintage sweater from Goodwill / Necklace from Etsy

Seersucker is a very summery fabric, so I decided to further combat the June gloomies by making this dress more appropriate for the chillier weather. I think it's a lot of fun with the striped sweater, but the dress is a bit too bulky (you can see it here and here) to layer things over it like this. I'm not totally sure if this outfit was a success! Oh well, you'll never know unless you try it on and find out...

Right now in LA we're being subjected to a phenomenon known as June Gloom. If you've never heard of it before, it's exactly what it sounds like, and it's giving me a serious case of the June gloomies. Because of this I thought it would be a good idea to bust out one of my favorite summer dresses and make it appropriate for the chilly temps we've been having. It's so strange, just last Saturday I was sweating my ass off in above 90 degree temps at Make Music Pasadena, and now I'm wearing tights and a cardigan...
